My second great-grandmother, Rebecca Jemima Ervin, has long been a mystery to me.  It was easy enough to track her through United States Census records once she married my second great-grandfather, Andrew Ballentine Beamer, on April 17, 1845 in Greenbrier County, Virginia.  Through the birth of their children, I can follow the family from Monroe County to Braxton County without much difficulty. Paulcer Butcher Parsons (1823-1894) was my third great-grandfather. He was born July 7, 1823 in either Harrison County or Lewis County, Virginia (now West Virginia), the seventh of eight children born to Joseph P. Parsons (1783-1868) and Elizabeth Bush Parsons (1786-1867). At age 19, he was united in marriage to Statira Connolly (1825-1856), the daughter of Patrick Connolly (1802-1868) and Mary Stallman Connolly (1804-unknown).
